SCRANTON, Pa. - Marymount women's soccer took the first-place Pacers down to the wire on the road at Marywood. 

A strong defensive effort from both ends, the Pacers' second half goal was the difference maker, with the Saints falling by a final margin of 1-0.

How It Happened

• Senior Laney Placido led the offensive charge for the Saints, knocking six total shots with three of them on goal. 
• Hannah Mockenhaupt had a strong day in the net, knocking 14 total saves. 
• Despite being outshot, the Saints held the Pacers scoreless for the entirety of the first half and into the 66th minute. 
• Placido knocked a shot in the 87th minute, but it was hit away by the Marywood keeper.
