Box Score ARLINGTON, Va. – Marymount women's volleyball took the first two sets against a powerhouse Ithaca team on Thursday night, but dropped the final three sets to lose in a heartbreaker, 3-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Marymount was led by Elissa Munsterman (16 kills, 15 digs) and Myia Jeter on the attack (10 kills).
- Sarah Pham had a career-high 23 digs in the five-set slugfest.
- Alexis Franklin (19 assists) and Sydney Sands (14 assists) paced the Saints offense.
- Marymount took the first set by a narrow 25-23 margin before handling the Bombers 25-20 in the second set.
- Ithaca took set three by a convincing 25-15 margin.
- In the fourth set, MU fought back to tie it at 20-20 before Ithaca pulled away to win 25-20.
- Ithaca left no doubt in the deciding set, winning 15-7 to clinch the victory.
