Box Score FREDERICK, Md. – The Marymount University women's soccer team fell to Hood College, 7-1, on Wednesday night.
The Saints struck first in the game, just over eight minutes in, with a goal from junior Laney Placido for a 1-0 lead.
Hood was able to tie the game at the 13:29 mark and would finish the half with three unanswered goals to take a 3-1 edge into halftime.
At the break, Hood led in shots, 9-3, and took the only corner kick of the half.
The Blazers tacked on their final four scores in the second half to put the game away.
Sophomore Mary Mac Bradshaw earned the start in goal and played all 90 minutes, making five saves.
Marymount will return to the field on Saturday, September 25 at Stevenson University. The opening kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
