BRIDGEWATER, Va. -- The Marymount University women's tennis team opened the season on the road on Saturday against Bridgewater College.
The Eagles proved to be too much for the Saints, as the home side won, 9-0.
In doubles, senior Carolyn Treuting paired up with sophomore Shannon King at No. 1, freshman Angelica Dalton paired up with Mia Prada at No. 2, while senior Sherly Pinto paired up with Lorena Gonzalez at No. 3.
In singles action, Dalton fared well in her first collegiate action at No. 1, but fell short in straight sets 6-1, 6-3.
The Saints return to the court on Tuesday, September 21, when they play host to Stevenson University.
