ARLINGTON, Va. -- The Marymount University women's soccer team fell to York College of Pennsylvania on Saturday evening at Long Bridge Park.

A five-goal outburst in the second half from the Spartans made the difference on the Saints' home turf. MU was unable to establish long periods of possession, as York utilized a relentless high press to keep Marymount at bay. 

Laney Placido and Chloe White each tested York's netminders, but neither was able to find the back of the net, as their efforts were saved. In MU's goal, freshman Grace Needham stood tall against the Spartans' barrage. The Newton, Pennsylvania, native finished with a season-high seven saves. 

The Saints' schedule continues on Wednesday, September 15, when they trek to Baltimore, Maryland, for a 7:00 p.m. tilt against Goucher College.
