ASTON, Pa. -- The Marymount University women's volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 victory on Tuesday evening, as the Saints easily dispatched the Knights of Neumann University on the road. 

Neumann had no answer for Marymount's offense and the Saints ended the match with a .219 attack percentage. MU outhit Neumann, 24-22, and finished with a 43-38 advantage in digs. Junior Kaitlyn Doyle paced the Saints' attack with 11 kills and a solid .320 hitting percentage. Sydney Sands tallied 20 assists, while senior libero Jasmine Roy registered a match-best 14 digs. 

MU set the tone early in the first set with a 7-0 run to open the set. Marymount continued to pour it on from there and eventually took a 19-0 lead after a service ace from Caylee Shelton. Neumann never threatened from there, as MU's net presence held the Knights to a paltry -.143 attack percentage, which led to a 25-10 win. 

Neumann fought back to open the second frame, as the teams traded points. Ariana Pena pulled the home side within one at 12-11, but MU responded immediately. Doyle tossed up a pair of service aces to push the Saints ahead, 15-11. Marymount put the set out of reach after back-to-back blocks from Doyle that made it 23-14.  Rookie Myia Jeter floored a kill to bring the set to a close at 25-17. 

With a two-sets-to-none edge, Marymount came flying out of the gates in the third set and built a 14-8 lead on the heels of a 4-0 run. MU never lost its edge from there and a kill from Aja' Irving gave the Saints a match-point chance at 24-17 before a miscue from Neumann gave Marymount a 25-18 win. 

The Saints have a quick turnaround when they welcome Cabrini to Converse Family Fieldhouse tomorrow, March 17. Opening serve is scheduled for 5 p.m.
