Box Score RADNOR, Pa. -- The Marymount University men's soccer team fell to Cabrini University on Wednesday by a final score of 4-0.
The Saints kept the game scoreless for the first 13 minutes but the Cavaliers managed to break through to make it 1-0. Marymount's goalkeeper Ronald Clark registered two saves over the next 23 minutes as Cabrini kept up the pressure. The Cavaliers' approach paid off in the 36th minute, however, as they managed to beat Clark. Mathew Correa tested Cabrini's goalie twice in the first half, but both of the freshman's attempts were saved.
MU's defense kept the Cavaliers at bay to open the second half, but Cabrini's relentless approach resulted in a goal in the 59th minute. The Saints pushed to get on the board with multiple shots, but Cabrini added another goal to make it 4-0 with 17 minutes left on the clock. Freshman Leo Ochoa fired a final shot on goal for the Saints, only to find his attempt saved by the Cavaliers' goakeeper.
Junior Eduardo Cardonne split time in goal with Clark, as each finished with 45:00 in net.
The Saints return to the field for the Atlantic East Tournament on Saturday, October 30 when they host fifth-seeded Centenary University.
