STAUNTON, Va. – The Marymount University men's tennis team picked up its first win of the fall season on Monday, defeating Mary Baldwin University, 9-0.
Freshman Michael Miller continued to lead the way, picking up a 6-0, 6-0 win over Eric Leyton at No. 1 singles.
Sophomore Nicolas Stromberg (6-1, 6-0), sophomore Dorian Guiot (6-0, 6-2), sophomore Jordan Jake (3-6, 7-6, 1-0), senior Lwazi-Enno Rennert (6-1, 6-2), and sophomore Emmanuel Achu (6-2, 6-1) finished out singles play for the Saints.
Miller and Stromberg teamed at No. 1 doubles for an 8-2 win, while Rennert and Guiot picked up an 8-2 victory at No. 2 doubles. Achu and Jake wrapped up No. 3 doubles with an 8-4 win.
The victory wrapped up fall play for Marymount, which now looks to the spring 2022 season.
