Box Score MORRISTOWN, N.J. - The Marymount University men's soccer team continued its road stand on Saturday afternoon with its third-straight win, defeating the College of St. Elizabeth, 5-0.
Led by senior Rodney Ngoh, who finished with two goals off set pieces, the Saints outshot the Eagles, 18-4, not allowing a single shot by St. Elizabeth in the second half.
Ngoh got the scoring started for MU quickly in the game, scoring his first in the 10th minute off a free kick by freshman Jesus Rios. Crossing the ball in the middle of the box, Ngoh connected on a header to find the back of the net.
Less than four minutes later, a double assist by freshmen Anthony Solorzano and Carlos Varona found junior Ridwaan Robinson cutting through the left side of the box for the touch and finish.
A 2-0 lead at the break, it was the Eagles that had a miscue to put the third goal on the scoreboard, hitting a defensive foot and finding the back of the net for the Saints.
By the 55th minute another pair of freshmen in Omar Avila and Justin Meza went 2-on-1 with the goalkeeper at the top of the box, with Meza making the quick dish to Avila for the open attempt on net and the 4-0 advantage.
Ngoh had the last goal for the Saints in the 75th minute, finishing a cross from the left side by freshman Gustavo Jaurigui.
Freshman Eduardo Cardonne tended the net for the full 90 minutes, only seeing one shot for the save. He moves to 3-2 this season between the pipes.
The Saints continue their road trip on Wednesday, September 18 at Wilson College. Start time is set for 4:30 p.m.
