WINCHESTER, Va. – The Marymount women's volleyball team rolled to another convincing victory on Wednesday night, earning its fourth-straight three-set sweep, topping Shenandoah University, 3-0 (25-8, 25-17, 25-15). In the effort, junior libero Theresa Buscemi eclipsed the 1,000-dig mark in her career. 

Buscemi needed just five digs entering the night to hit the milestone, but made it a team-high 12, while adding a service ace and an assist. She needs just two service aces to reach 100 in her career. 

All 16 Saints saw the court in the match, all contributing throughout. Nine different players registered a kill led by sophomore Mykael Johnson with a match-high nine on a .400 kill percentage. Seniors Emily Abramaitys and Caroline Hanson weren't far behind with six and five, respectively, while senior Maggie Munro put down three of her five attempts for a .600 kill percentage.

Sophomore Maggie Viniard commanded the offense with a match-high 22 assists, while junior Alana Ball added seven. 

Behind Buscemi's 12 digs, Viniard dove out for nine and Hanson added eight. At the net, sophomore Myah Cordrey registered three block assists, and junior Miranda Cooksey added two block assists and a solo block. 

The Saints will head home for their first home match on Friday, September 7, hosting a six-team two-day invitational in the Converse Family Fieldhouse. They are lined up with two matches on Friday against Washington (Md.) College at 3 p.m., and Eastern University at 7 p.m.
