Box Score MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – A slow start to the game put the Marymount men's basketball team behind early on Wednesday night, eventually falling on the road to Penn State-Harrisburg, 72-54.
The Saints found themselves working to inch their way back into the game after an 8-0 start by the Lions forced Marymount into a quick timeout to get back on the same page.
MU kept within striking distance for much of the game, but PSU worked to a double-digit lead that would hold.
A stronger second half for the Saints had them shooting roughly 10-percent better than the first half. Of the 32 points scored in the final 20 minutes, sophomore Ibrahim Kamara and freshman Steve Etienne combined for 20 of the points, scoring 10 each. Both led the team for the game with 14 apiece.
Junior Brandon Rogers also found double figures, scoring 12 points for the game including three from beyond the arc. Off the bench, sophomore Ryan Albert contributed nine points to go along with his tied team-high five rebounds.
Marymount will close out the regular season on Saturday, February 17 on the road at Mary Washington. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m., in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
