Box Score

ARLINGTON, Va. - The second-seeded Marymount University women's volleyball team tore through a semifinal match of the Atlantic East Conference Women's Volleyball Tournament on Thursday night in the Converse Family Fieldhouse, downing third-seed Neumann University in straight sets, 3-0 (25-14, 25-12, 25-12).

The Saints (25-4) have now punched their ticket into the title match on Saturday, November 3, as they'll travel to top-seeded Cabrini University for a rematch of the only loss Marymount had in conference play in the regular season. The Cavaliers topped fifth-seeded Marywood University on Thursday night on their home court, rallying back after a first-set loss to seal up a 3-1 match.

It was all Marymount from the start in the match, collecting a 25-14 first set behind 16 kills on a .395 hitting percentage. On the Neumann side, it was the only set the Knights hit in the positive with a .056. The other two sets Neumann was held to a -.094 and a -.128.

The momentum continued into the final two sets, as the Saints cruised to back-to-back 25-12 victories to seal up the 19th straight-set win of the season while remaining untouched at home with a 12-0 record.
