OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Marymount University women's volleyball team moved its win streak to seven matches and 17-2 this season with a three-set road victory on Wednesday night, topping Stevenson University, 3-0 (25-14, 26-24, 25-19).

Besides a tight second set that needed extra points to decide the victor, the Saints had no issues with the Mustangs in the non-conference matchup, knocking down 41 kills on a .233 kill percentage led by senior Emily Abramaitys with a match-high 14. Not far behind was sophomore Myah Cordrey, registering 11 kills on an impressive .450 kill percentage, while sophomore Mykael Johnson added nine. 

The offense was commanded by two-time Offensive Player of the Week, sophomore Maggie Viniard, who sent out a match-high 34 assists. On the other side, the defense held strong behind the backline strength of senior Caroline Hanson and junior libero Theresa Buscemi with a match-high 16 digs each. 

On the service, the team posted nine aces led by Hanson's five and Buscemi and sophomore Jasmine Roy added two apiece. 

This is Marymount's 14th straight-sets victory of the season out of their 17 total wins. In all 17, they have yet to need a fifth set to be the victor, while needing a fourth set just three times. 

The Saints put their win streak on the line on Friday night, as they travel to No. 24 Christopher Newport University for a former Capital Athletic Conference matchup. Start time is set for 7 p.m., in Newport News, Virginia.
