Box Score FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Marymount women's soccer team opened Capital Athletic Conference play on the road Saturday afternoon, dropping a 4-0 decision to the University of Mary Washington.
Junior Sydney Sherman totaled a new career high in the goal, collecting 12 saves through 90 minutes of play, but the Saint offense was unable to get anything past the Eagle backline on Saturday to get MU on the board.

The Saints held strong through the first half, only allowing one goal off 12 shots by the Eagles, but UMW found the back of the net three more times in the second half to take the CAC opener.
Marymount will get back into non-conference play on Monday, September 25, hosting North Carolina Wesleyan at Long Bridge Park. First touch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
