Box Score FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Marymount men's soccer team took on No. 20 University of Mary Washington on Saturday afternoon to start up the Capital Athletic Conference schedule, falling 6-0.
The Eagles pulled ahead early in the contest, finding the back of the net five times through the first half. The first went in three minutes into the contest, but the Saints battled to draw it even over the next 20 minutes. Mary Washington tacked on three more goals before the Saints got a shot off on target by junior Sebastian Hendi, but Eagle goalkeeper Curran Smolinsky pulled in the attempt.
Sophomore goalkeeper John Valcicak made two saves in his 90 minutes of work.
The men will look to bounce back on Wednesday, September 27, hosting Washington Adventist University for a non-conference matchup at Long Bridge Park. Start time is set for 7 p.m.
