HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. – The Marymount men's soccer team concluded a five-game road series on Saturday night, falling on the road to Hampden-Sydney College, 5-0. 

The Saints looked to jump ahead early, getting the first shot on target of the match in the second minute off the feet of junior Sebastian Hendi. Hendi, fresh off a career-high seven points in Wednesday's victory over Shenandoah, saw his shot get pulled in by Tigers' keeper Gray Sutter. 

Just several minutes later, sophomore goalkeeper John Valcicak earned his first save of five for the night on Hampden-Sydney's first shot attempt. 

However, the Tigers scored two within two minutes of one another midway through the first half, sparking a momentum that led to an eventual 5-0 decision. 

In the second half, the Saints fired off another shot by sophomore junior Mynor Danilo Lopez, but MU wouldn't find the back of the net Saturday night. 

The men return home for another non-conference matchup on Wednesday, September 20, hosting Christendom at Long Bridge Park. First touch is slated for 7 p.m.
