WINCHESTER, Va. – A career day for junior Sebastian Hendi pushed the Marymount men's soccer team past Shenandoah University on the road Wednesday night, 5-2, as he put away a career-high seven points off a hat trick of goals and an assist. 

It was the Hornets that had the first opportunity on offense to kick off the match, earning an early header on target in the seventh minute, but nothing sophomore goalkeeper John Valcicak couldn't pull in the keep the game scoreless. 

Several minutes later, the Saints put the first goal on the board off the feet of Hendi. 

By the 20th minute, Shenandoah answered, drawing the score even at 1-1 which held to the break. 

In the second half, Marymount exploded on offense, putting away four more goals including a pair of collegiate firsts by freshmen Levis Lopez and Ridwaan Robinson. Three of the four goals were tacked on in the closing eight minutes as the Saints battled to a 5-2 victory and their second-straight in two days. 

Of the 13 shots the Hornets took in the contest, six were on target. Valcicak, who tended for the full 90 minutes, pulled in four for the contest in route to his second win in the net this season. 

The men will round out their five-game road series on Saturday, September 16 at Hamden-Sydney College. First touch is set for 7 p.m.
