BALTIMORE, Md. – The Marymount women's basketball team put on another strong performance on Sunday evening, knocking off the host Blue Jays to steal the Johns Hopkins Tip-Off Championship, 70-56. 

This is the second-straight year the Saints have sealed up a tip-off tournament title, winning the Fourth Annual Pablo Coto Tip-Off Tournament last season at home. 

Marymount never trailed in the title game, seeing only one tie come at the very beginning of the game before building up to as much as a 17-point lead by the fourth quarter. 

The Saints shot a consistent 49.1 percent from the floor, while converting 18 points off the 19 Blue Jay turnovers. Additionally, the Saints controlled the paint, scoring 34 points inside, while going 23-for-40 from inside the arc. 

Leading the way for Marymount for the game was a team-high 18 points by sophomore Regan Lohr who earned a spot on the All-Tournament team, while junior Tyffani McQueen added a career-high 17 points to be named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament. For the two-game stretch, McQueen posted 31 points on 58-percent shooting, while adding five rebounds, five assists and four steals. 

Also finding double figures for the game was senior Leah Hurst with 12 points. She added a team-high seven rebounds, game-high six assists and a steal. 

The women will now head back to Arlington for their home opener on Monday, November 27, hosting Shenandoah University for a non-conference matchup. Tip off is set for 6 p.m., in the Verizon Sports Arena.
