BALTIMORE, Md. – In a rematch of the second round of the 2017 NCAA Tournament, the Marymount women's basketball team remained untouched by Albright College, taking the opening round of the Johns Hopkins Tip-Off Tournament, 59-55, to advance to Championship Sunday against the host Blue Jays. 

The starting five of the Saints put together a well-rounded game, seeing four of the five register double-digit scoring days while the five totaled 57 of the 59 points. 

Leading the way were three different players, as senior Nicole Viscuso, junior Tyffani McQueen and sophomore Gabriella Haddad all put away a team-high 14 points each. Haddad's 14 points marks a new career high to go with a career- and game-high five steals. Sophomore Regan Lohr dropped in the lone three pointer for the Saints that added to 11-point day. 

It was a close game for much of the game, as the spread stayed in single digits throughout the full 40 minutes. The Saints built up as much as an eight-point lead in the second quarter, while Albright got its highest in the first quarter at six. 

With nine lead changes, the final one went into favor of Marymount with 4:18 remaining in the game when McQueen knocked in a jumper to take a 50-49 advantage. Haddad followed it up with a jumper and a layup to push a five-point cushion. 

Although in the final minute Albright would get back within one, two free throws by Lohr and one by Haddad put the final touch on the victory. 

The Saints move to the Championship game against Johns Hopkins on Sunday at 4 p.m. The Blue Jays defeated Lynchburg in the first game of the day, 62-60.
