Box Score Salisbury, Md. – Marymount University's women's basketball team dropped a 68-49 decision on the road at Capital Athletic Conference foe Salisbury on Wednesday night. The Saints fall to 15-9 overall and 10-5 in league play.
Katelyn Fischer led the Saints with 14 points while Aileen Maknati added 10. Fischer recorded her 200th career three-pointer in the loss to build on her Marymount and CAC record.
Salisbury (16-8, 11-4 CAC) took an early 8-2 lead and pushed to a double-digit advantage up 15-4 at the 11:55 mark. The Saints battles back to cut the deficit to seven points before the Sea Gulls pushed their lead to as many as 20 en route taking a 34-16 lead into halftime.
Coming out of the break, Marymount slowly chipped away at the SU lead to pull within 10 points down 51-41 with just over six minutes to play. Salisbury responded with an 8-0 run over the next six minutes to put the game away.
Anna Hackett and Sarah Seipp both led Salisbury with a game-high 17 points.
