Middletown, Pa. – Marymount University's men's basketball team dropped a tight overtime contest 71-67 to Capital Athletic Conference newcomer Penn State Harrisburg on Wednesday night.   The Saints fall to 14-8 overall and 6-7 in league play.

Four Saints scored in double-figures led by JC Hoellich and Reed Scott with 14 points each.  Jesse Konadu added 13 while Antonio Rouse chipped in 12.  Hoellich nearly posted a double-double with nine rebounds.

In overtime, Scott hit an early free throw before the Lions (8-14, 5-8 CAC) responded with six unanswered points to take a 69-64 lead with 43 seconds remaining.  A Scott three-pointer on the next possession cut the MU deficit to just two but the Saints couldn't hit another basket down the stretch as Harrisburg held on to for the win.

Harrisburg took the initial lead of the game on a three-pointer before the Saints responded with a 7-0 run.  Marymount led the rest of the frame, pushing its lead to double-digits on a Rouse trifecta to lead 24-13 with 5:44 remaining.  The Saints would lead by as many as 13 in the half before taking a 33-25 lead into halftime.

Coming out of the break, Harrisburg quickly cut its deficit down to just a pair at 33-31 at the 18:09 mark before MU responded with an 8-0 run to retake its double-figure lead.  The Lions slowly began to chip away at Marymount's lead, pulling within one at 41-40 at the 14:05 mark, before the Saints regrouped to again lead by three possessions.  Marymount led 63-58 with 1:32 remaining but a late 5-0 spurt from Harrisburg down the stretch, including a three-pointer with 37 ticks remaining, tied the game to force overtime.

William Doyle led Harrisburg with 18 points.
