Box Score Harrisburg, Pa. – The women's volleyball team extended its conference unbeaten streak on Wednesday night, downing Penn State Harrisburg in straight sets (25-21, 25-21, 25-14) to improve to 3-0 in CAC play. Marymount improves to 20-5 on the season with the win.
Freshman setter Rebecca Bateman posted 18 assists in the quick three-set sweep, setting up a variety of Saints over the course of the night.
Sophomore Emileigh Rettig poured in a team-high seven kills, while classmate Becca Schroeder followed suit with six of her own. Erin Allison, Hannah Steger, and Margaret McAlpin each slammed home five kills to round out the Saints' offensive attack.
Allison also collected a team-high 13 digs on the night, with Schroeder reeling in an additional ten to further bolster Marymount's defensive effort.
Sophomore Courtney Phung kept the Lions off-balance, registering four service aces over her two-set performance.
Marymount takes a break from CAC play on Thursday when it hosts Goucher for a friendly nonconference tilt. Match time is set for 7 p.m. in Verizon Sports Arena.
