Newport News, Va. – The Saints struggled to find their stride on Saturday, falling to CAC counterpart Christopher Newport in straight sets (15-25, 18-25, 11-25) before dropping the nightcap against Bethany (W.V.) in similar fashion (18-25, 16-25, 22-25).  Marymount slips to 5-2 in conference play and 23-9 overall with the pair of losses.

Morgan McAlpin paced the Saints' offense throughout the day, registering 18 kills between the two matches. 

Cassidie Watson collected 24 digs in her day's work, anchoring the Marymount defensive effort.

The Saints return to action on Wednesday when they travel to St. Mary's for a midweek CAC battle.  Match time is set for 7 p.m.
