York, Pa. – The Saint extended their impressive CAC streak this weekend, downing York (Pa.) in a tight four-set tilt (21-25, 25-23, 25-17, 25-23) before dropping their nightcap to an impressive Muhlenberg squad in straight sets (16-25, 23-25, 5-25).  Marymount improves to 5-0 in CAC action and 23-6 overall.

Marymount was down 1-0 in sets and losing 23-20 in the second set before rallying for the 3-1 CAC victory in its opener, enabling the Saints to stay undefeated in conference play and keep pace at the top of the standings with Christopher Newport.

Emileigh Rettig led the team with her match-high 13 kills and 16 digs in her tenth double-double of the season.  Zacharie Jackson also dabbled in the double digits, collecting 23 assists and 11 digs in the four-set win. 

Morgan McAlpin and Erin Allison remained atop Marymount's offensive attack, smoking 11 and ten kills, respectively.  Cassidie Watson reeled in 13 digs to further bolster the Saints' defensive grind.

The Blue and White continued their dominance at the net as well, matching their season-high 14 team blocks in that opening match.

The nightcap saw the Saints struggle to maintain their blocking prowess, as they took on a very strong Muhlenberg squad.  Despite a tight second set and a battle to regain some momentum, Marymount just could not halt the Mules' attack.

Retting once again led the Saints' offense, this time registering six kills and seven digs.

Marymount returns to action on Wednesday as it hosts CAC counterpart Southern Virginia at the Verizon Sports Arena.  Match time is set for 7 p.m.
