Arlington, Va. – Marymount University's women's volleyball team swept a home tri-match on Saturday, defeating Catholic 3-1 (26-24, 25-18, 19-25, 25-18) in the opener before topping Hollins 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-19) in the nightcap. The Saints sweep former league rival Catholic in their home-and-home series and move to 13-4 overall on the season.

Against the Cardinals, Morgan McAlpin and Jenn Forbes led the Saints with 12 kills each while Johanna Hummel added nine. 

Defensively, Erin Allison collected 18 digs while Michelle McCormick added 14. 

Both Forbes and McAlpin were a force at the net, joining Melissa Warren with five blocks in the match. The Saints recorded 11 total team blocks.

Closing out the night against Hollins, Forbes and Hummel led all players with 11 kills while Allison had nine and McAlpin chipped in seven. Hummel hit at a stellar .529 clip while Forbes was right behind her at .500.

McAlpin had one of her best all-around games of the season, adding three service aces and another five blocks against Hollins.

Allison added another 16 digs in the nightcap with McCormick adding 13.

Marymount returns to Capital Athletic Conference action on Tuesday as it travels to face Wesley in Dover, Del.
