Arlington, Va. – Marymount University's men's soccer team snapped a five-game winless streak with a 1-0 victory over visiting Shenandoah on Saturday. The Saints picked up a pair of draws in their last five contests and earned their second win of the season.

Freshman George Delgado put the lone tally on the board in the 34th minute with the help from senior Kjell Crooke. Crooke's initial attempt from the top of the box on the right side forced the Hornets' keeper to make a diving save across his body, deflecting the ball to the feet of a waiting Delgado who then cleaned up for the score.

Marymount (2-3-2) outshot Shenandoah 19-5 on the day, allowing just two shots on goal. The Saints defensive backfield played strong as the platoon of Eric Kamta, Chris Rodriguez, Brian Williams and Cohen Bond held the Hornets (0-6-1) to just one shot in the opening half and smartly lured SU into four offsides whistles in the match.

In goal, Mike Madigan evened his record to 2-2-2 on the season with a pair of saves for his second shutout of the year.
