Frederick, Md. – Marymount University's women's basketball team continued its impressive Capital Athletic Conference campaign with a 69-33 victory over Hood on Saturday afternoon. The Saints move to 5-1 in league action and 7-5 overall on the season.

Seniors Amanda Billy and Beth Wiggins paced MU (7-5, 5-1 CAC) with 16 points each while fellow senior Maame Amponsah added 11. Amponsah chipped in 20 rebounds for double-double.

Marymount dominated all aspects of the game. The Saints outshot HC 52.8 percent to 26.percent, including 40% to 26.7% from downtown, and outrebounded the Blazers 40-23

Briana White led Hood (5-7, 1-5 CAC) with 12 points.

Marymount returns to action next Saturday in CAC play against Stevenson at 5 p.m.
