Sofia Poblano enters her first season as the graduate assistant women's wrestling coach at Marymount for the 2024-25 season.
Poblano joins MU after spending three seasons on the Campbellsville (NAIA) women's wrestling team. While at Campbellsville, the squad won the 2022 NAIA national championship and was consistently one of the top programs in the country.
She also wrestled at Durham High School in California for four years, earning the CIF Pursuing Victory with Honor Medal at the 2019 California state tournament.
Academically, Poblano was a four-time Academic All-American at CU and graduated with a double bachelor's degree in criminal justice and psychology.
Poblano is currently pursuing a master's degree in forensic and legal psychology from Marymount.
