Max McNeill

Max McNeill enters his third season as an assistant coach for the cross country and track & field programs for the Marymount Saints.

McNeill has helped build a new wave of success for the programs, helping the women's cross country team earn second as a team at the Atlantic East Championships in 2022, while coaching All-Conference selections Avery Finnegan and Ziyan Qutub.

On the track & field side of things, he was the leading charge of the 2023 Atlantic East Champion women's track & field program, the first in the program's history. He led the program across all events, but focused on distance, where Finnegan was an All-Conference honoree in the 10,000m. Under his watch, three student-athletes earned major awards, 11 earned All-Conference nods, and McNeill was a part of the AEC Coaching Staff of the Year.

McNeill came to Marymount after a successful career at Oklahoma City University. He was a leader on both the cross country and track & field programs, where he secured eight NAIA All-American honors in his 4 years, which set him up for his still-active post-collegiate career, which includes competitive racing in both cross country and marathons. Most recently, he posted a 2:18.55 in a marathon hosted in Deluth, Minn.

Prior to his time in Oklahoma, McNeill competed at various levels and also helped coach for the Lothian Running Club in Scotland.
