Leah Hartsock enters her first year as Marymount Athletics Communication Assistant.
Leah was a dedicated four-year member of the Saints soccer program at Marymount University, where she extended her impact beyond the field to become a key ambassador for Marymount Athletics. During her time at Marymount, Leah served as the President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and was an active member of the Saints Strong Leadership Academy. She also worked as a Resident Assistant for the Office of Student Living, a Student Ambassador for the Admissions Office, and various roles for the Athletics Communications office.
Throughout her undergraduate experience, Leah earned several notable awards. In her junior year, she received the Student Government Association Merit Award, recognizing her leadership both on and off the field. This award honors a student who embodies the spirit of Marymount while making a meaningful impact on the community. Leah's speech also earned first place at the second annual SportsX event in her junior year. In her senior year, she was nominated for the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum, which brought together over 300 student-athletes, coaches, and administrators from across all NCAA divisions. Leah was also honored with the Marymount Athletics 2025 Female Leadership Award, an accolade presented to the student-athlete who demonstrated exceptional leadership throughout the year and served as a positive ambassador for the athletics program. This award was selected and voted on by the athletics staff.
Leah graduated in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Psychology, and a minor in Sports Management. She plans to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Organizational Management at Marymount starting in the Fall of 2025.
Outside of Marymount, Leah serves as the Head JV Soccer Coach at Briar Woods High School within Loudoun County Public Schools, where she led her team to an undefeated season.
