Kameron Blanding

Kameron Blanding enters his second season as the head cross country and track & field coach at Marymount for the 2025-26 academic year.

During his first season as Marymount's cross county and track & field head coach, the women's cross country team won the Atlantic East Championship for the first time in program history, and the women's track and field team won their third consecutive Atlantic East title. Blanding and his staff received Coaching Staff of the Year honors for both women's cross country and track & field. Under his leadership, five cross country runners earned all-conference selections with Avery Finnegan earning Runner of the Year and Brier Amerlink earning Rookie of the Year honors.

Blanding arrives in Arlington after previously serving as the director of track & field and cross country at Averett University in Danville, Va. While in Danville, the program produced an NCAA Second Team All-American, alongside five All-ODAC performers and two ODAC champions. The teams consistently improved under Blanding's leadership, setting 110 school records and 239 personal bests during his tenure.

Blanding has seen prominent success during his coaching career before Marymount, including a pair of conference championships in the Appalachian Athletic Conference, coaching the No. 3 nationally-ranked men's track & field team at Central Christian College of Kansas (NAIA), and coaching an individual national champion (NJCAA half marathon). He has helped mentor over 100 national qualifiers and 20 All-Americans during his coaching career.

Blanding received a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Central Christian College of Kansas and also holds a master's degree in management and leadership from Montreat College. He is also finishing up a second master's degree in coaching and exercise science from Concordia University-Irvine and is projected to graduate in December 2024.
