Ibrahim Bunduka enters his first season as an assistant coach at Marymount in 2022-23.

Bunduka comes to Arlington with a wealth of wrestling experience as both an athlete and a coach. Most recently, he spent the 2021-22 season coaching wrestling at Chantilly High School. He worked closely with the lightweights and coached two NCAA qualifiers (125 lbs and 141 lbs).

At NCAA Division I George Mason, Bunduka was a four-year starter at 125 pounds and qualified for the NCAA Championships twice. As a senior, he finished second in the league after finishing third as a junior.

Also excelling in the international style of Greco-Roman, he made a push for the Senior-level World team in 2019, finishing fourth at both the U.S. Open and the World Team Trials at 55 kilograms. In 2014, Bunduka finished second at the FILA Junior World Team Trials for Greco and ended up fourth at the University trials in 2015.

Bunduka graduated from Mason in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and Infrastructure.
