Chris Natoli

Chris Natoli enters his fourth season as the head Men's and Women's Swimming Coach at Marymount University ahead of the 2024-25 season.

In 2023-24, Natoli led the program to back-to-back Atlantic East Conference Championships, producing a wide range of All-Conference selections on both the men's and women's side of competition.

Garrett Watson was named AEC Rookie of the Year under Natoli's guidance, with Isabella Ochalik earning the prestigious Elite 20 Award.

It was a historic year for the Saints in 2022-23, as Natoli led to team to their first-ever conference championships, taking home both the men's and women's Atlantic East Conference Champion trophy.

The Marymount women's team swept the Atlantic East major awards at the conference meet under Natoli's guidance, with Tidawee Srun earning Swimmer of the Year, Brooke Dittlinger grabbing Rookie of the year, and the coaching staff garnering Coaching Staff of the Year. The coaching staff picked up the same honor for the men, too. The program earned 29 total all-conference awards.

Delaney Carey and Trevor Cairns both earned the Atlantic East Elite 20 award under Natoli's guidance.

In his first season, Natoli led the men's team to a second-place finish and the women's side to a third-place finish at the Atlantic East Conference Championships. On the men's side, Natoli mentored the Saints to 13 All-Conference nods. Trevor Cairns highlighted the awards with the team's lone First Team honor after he won the 200-yard backstroke. Under Natoli's watchful eye, Cairns grew into a top-performer for the Saints and was named to the VaSID All-State Second Team. For the women's team, Natoli's guiding hand resulted in seven All-Conference awards. Natoli led rookie Arianna Koerner to a pair of Second Team awards, as she registered a pair of program top-10 times to finish second in both the 100- and 200-yard backstroke.

Natoli came to Marymount from George Mason University, where he served as the Assistant Men's and Women's Swim and Dive Coach.

He held the position at George Mason for the past four years, leading the middle-distance group and serving as the men's team's Recruiting Coordinator and the Alumni Relations Coordinator. In 2018 and 2020, the George Mason coaching staff was named the A-10 Coaching Staff of the Year.

In 2020, Natoli helped the men's team win the first A-10 conference championship in program history, while having the A-10 Rookie of the Year on the team. Over his career, he helped the team set nine individual program records and six relay records, while two swimmers finished in the top 50 in the NCAA for their events.

Natoli oversaw the training cycles and video analysis, as well, while coordinating travel and meals for the teams. He, also, supervised the volunteer assistant coaches.

He also spent the past 16 years with Nations Capital Swim Club (NCAP), first as a Senior Coach and National Prep Coach from 2004-18. Since 2010, he has been the NCAP Team Travel Coordinator and has served as the National Group Head Coach since 2018.

As the National Group Head Coach, he oversaw the training plan for his group and the stroke and video analysis. Natoli coordinated the budget and the travel for a group that ranged from age seven to post-collegiate athletes.

He coached National Age Group Record holders, Virginia State High School Champions, US Open National Qualifiers, and High School All-Americans.
