ARLINGTON, Va. -- The Atlantic East Conference announced its weekly awards for the fall season on Monday afternoon, as three Saints earned recognition for their outstanding performances across the week.


Erick Shoetter-Rojas of men's soccer secured Offensive Player of the Week, with Emerson Aber of women's volleyball picking up Specialist of the Week and Philologus Smith of men's cross country earning Runner of the Week.

Erick Shoetter-Rojas - Senior - Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

Shoetter-Rojas made his presence felt throughout the week for the Saints, recording two unassisted goals and an assist across a pair of victories.

The midfielder opened the week with the game-winning goal in an 8-0 rout of Gallaudet on Tuesday, adding an assist to finish the match with five total points.

On Saturday, Shoetter-Rojas helped the Saints secure a 2-1 victory over Eastern Mennonite, sending in the cross that led to an own goal and ultimately proved to be the game-winner.

Emerson Aber - Senior - Women's Volleyball Specialist of the Week

Aber continued her strong start to the season this past weekend, helping the Saints secure two wins in front of the home crowd.

The senior setter tallied 64 total assists across two matches, including a career-high-tying 40 assists against Ramapo. Aber also contributed 22 digs, four block assists and two service aces throughout the weekend.
 

Philologus Smith - First-Year - Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

Smith paced the Saints at the Dickinson Long/Short Invitational this past weekend, turning in a strong performance against a competitive field.

The first-year runner finished 45th overall with a time of 13:38.3.

Smith makes it back-to-back weekly honors with another strong showing.
