Saints Shine as Claudy, Tarrant, and Kolwey Collect Weekly Honors

HADDONFIELD, N.J. — Marymount University Athletics had a standout week of performances across the pool and the court, as Luke Claudy, Annabelle Tarrant, and Catie Kolwey were each recognized with weekly conference honors following dominant showings for the Saints.

Luke Claudy – Swimmer of the Week
Junior freestyle Luke Claudy delivered an impressive performance on Saturday against Randolph-Macon College, playing a pivotal role in Marymount's dual-meet victory over the Yellow Jackets. 

Claudy captured first-place finishes in the 50 freestyle (21.55), the 100 freestyle (47.97), and the 200 freestyle, where he clocked a season-best time of 1:47.84. He also anchored the Saints' 200 freestyle relay team, leading the group to a first-place finish and further solidifying Marymount's strong showing in the meet. 

Annabelle Tarrant – Swimmer of the Week
Annabelle Tarrant paced the Saints on the women's side with an impressive distance freestyle performance in the dual match up with Randolph-Macon. Tarrant claimed victories in both of her individual events. 

She earned first in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 11:04.09 before adding another win in the 500 freestyle at 5:23.84. Her efforts were instrumental in Marymount's overall success on the day and highlighted her continued impact as a key contributor for the Saints.

Catie Kolwey – Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Junior forward Catie Kolwey turned in a dominant all-around week to earn Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week honors, helping Marymount to a perfect 2-0 record in conference play.

Kolwey averaged 10.5 rebounds per game, pulling down 21 total rebounds across the week while adding six blocks and two steals on the defensive end. Offensively, she matched her defensive intensity, averaging 17.0 points per game, highlighted by a 20-point performance against Centenary. In Wednesday's win over Saint Elizabeth, Kolwey recorded another double-double, finishing with 14 points and 13 rebounds to anchor the Saints on both ends of the floor.
