DURHAM, N.C. -- Marymount men's swimming began their 2025-26 season in front of top competition, taking on Division I programs Duke University and Boston College inside of Taishoff Aquatic Center on the campus of Duke.
RELAY RESULTS
- The team of Vincent Tran, Evan Pak, Carsten Hicks, and Luke Claudy notched a mark of 1:34.50 in the 200 yard medley relay.
- Ben Clabeaux, Ryan Faherty, Daniel Caldwell, and Noah Popp clocked in at 1:38.05 in the 200 medley relay.
- Popp, Claudy, Clabeaux, and Hicks came in with a time of 3:16.05 in the 400 yard free relay.
- Finnian Sample, Caldwell, Tran, and Watson also competed in the 400 yard free relay, clocking in at 3:25.57.
INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
- Nathan Bruley clocked a 10:40.29 time in the 1,000 yard freestyle, then coming in at 2:05.68 in the 100 yard backstroke. He finished his individual day with a 5:12.92 showing in the 500 yard freestyle.
- Hicks timed in at 22.09 in the 50 freestyle, before placing sixth in the 100 yard butterfly event with a time of 53.19.
- In the 100 yard breaststroke, Pak came across first for the Saints with a time of 59.22. Later on, Pak also had the top mark for the Saints in the 200 yard breaststroke at 2:16.44, before finishing his day with a time of 2:05.97 in the 200 yard individual medley.
- Garrett Watson finished with a time of 10:49.33 in the 1,000 yard freestyle event, going on to clock a time of 5:16.27 in the 500 yard freestyle.
- Popp had the top finish for the Saints in the 200 yard freestyle event at 1:47.66. He went on to notch a time of 1:59.70 in the 200 backstroke.
- Faherty came in at 1:53.19 in the 200 yard freestyle event, going on to clock in at 2:10.28 in the 200 individual medley.
- Seth Reinsel finished at 1:58.99 in the 200 freestyle
- Tran came across first for Marymount in the 100 yard backstroke event with a time of 54.55.
- Clabeaux finished with a mark of 54.61 in the 100 backstroke, going on to come in at 48.69 in the 100 yard freestyle.
- Garrett Peck notched a time of 57.21 in the 100 backstroke event
- Finnian Sample (1:02.02) and Landon Watterson (1:05.95) both competed in the 100 breaststroke event.
- Alexander Hain notched a time of 2:08.78 in the 200 yard butterfly, with Caldwell coming in at 2:12.40 in the same race.
- Claudy notched a time of 21.83 in the 50 free, before clocking in at 48.29 in the 100 free.
