READING, Pa. -- Marymount women's wrestling competed in the Golden Wolves Open, hosted by Alvernia, on Sunday. After a strong day of competition, the team placed fifth out of 11 total teams, placing four in their respective weight brackets.
NOTABLE
- Kaylee Anderson won three straight bouts to find herself in the Championship round, battling hard but ultimately falling to earn second place in the 160 lbs. bracket.
- Nicolle Ayala Mata took a tight loss in the semi-finals of the 180 lbs. bracket. The first-year battled with back-to-back wins in the consolation semi-finals and the third-place bout to stand on the podium.
- Nicole Barahona Rios earned fourth place in the 103 lbs. bracket, picking up a 10-0 win in the quarterfinals.
- Jennifer Djobo won four bouts in route to a fourth place finish in the 145 lbs. bracket.

- The Saints will take some time off around the holidays, next competing at the National Duals from Friday, Jan. 9 to Saturday, Jan. 10.
