DANVILLE, Va. -- Marymount men's wrestling finished up their weekend at Averett University on Sunday, competing against the hosting Cougars and two others in dual action on Saturday before taking on the Cougar Open on Sunday.

Mohammad Fofana highlighted the weekend winning the 197 lb. bracket on Sunday, marking a strong outing in the early going of the season, with four more Saints placing.

COUGAR OPEN NOTABLE RESULTS

• Fofana ran through the 197 bracket to take first place, winning by fall in the first place round at 2:25.
• Markelynn Fenner took second in the 197 bracket.
• Julian Schott placed sixth in the 184 bracket, going 2-2 on the day.
• Joseph Lagman took fifth in the 174 bracket, winning three-straight matches.
• Adonis Iparraguirre rounded out the placers with a sixth place spot in the 149 bracket.
