ARLINGTON, Va. -- Marymount men's and women's swimming hosted the Sea Gulls of Salisbury University on Saturday afternoon.

Falling on both sides in team scores, the Saints picked up some quality finishes in the pool.

TEAM SCORES

• Men - Salisbury 185.5, Marymount 76.5.
• Women - Salisbury 207, Marymount 51.

TOP RELAY FINISHES

• The men's 200 yard freestyle relay team (Luke Claudy, Carsten Hicks, Gavin Keane, Alexander Hain) finished second with a finishing time of 1:29.75.
• The women's 400 yard freestyle relay (Cara Craig, Payton So, Sydney Runk, Ella DeNicola) notched second at 4:06.27.
• For the women's 200 yard medley relay (Alexandra Pette, Miah Lopez, Ilana Hawkins, Lillian Crawley) placed third out of the six teams with a time of 1:55.92.
• The men's 200 yard medley relay (Claudy, Evan Pak, Hicks, Hain) placed third, as well, with a time of 1:38.03.

TOP INDIVIDUAL FINISHES

• Hicks won the men's 100 yard butterfly with a time of 53.23.
• Claudy finished in a tie for first in the men's 50 yard freestyle event with a time of 21.62, while also placing third in the 100 freestyle (48.67).
• Ryan Faherty placed second in the men's 200 yard freestyle with a finishing mark of 1:49.84, also picking up a second place spot in the men's 200 yard IM with a time of 2:05.19.
• Pette placed third in the women's 100 yard backstroke event at 1:04.03, also notching third in the 200 yard backstroke at 2:19.92.
• DeNicola notched a third place finish in the women's 100 yard breaststroke at 1:16.00.
• Pak finished second in the men's 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:17.18, also picking up third in the men's 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:00.86.
• In the women's 200 yard butterfly, Lopez finished second with a time of 2:20.31. She went on to place second in the 100 yard butterfly, as well, with a time of 1:01.19.
• Garrett Watson placed third in the men's 200 yard butterfly event with a finishing time of 2:03.48.
• Hawkins narrowly missed the top spot in the women's 50 yard freestyle at 26.53. She also placed second in the 100 yard free event with a time of 58.36, just .03 seconds behind first.
• Nathan Bruley gutted out a second place spot in the men's 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:01.48.

UP NEXT

• The Saints will head down the road to Gallaudet on Saturday, Nov. 2, with a start time of 1 PM.
• In the same meet, the women will compete against Cedar Crest College.
