YORK, Pa. – Mateo Hernandez became the first regional placewinner in Marymount men's wrestling history after an impressive performance at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships on Friday and Saturday.
     
NOTABLE

• Hernandez went 3-3 to finish in eighth place at 141 pounds.
• After falling in the preliminary round, he won three straight matches, including one by fall, to secure his place on the podium.
• Jacko DiGiulian, Eric Washington and Isaac Ponce also won matches at the competitive tournament that served as a qualifier for the NCAA Championships.
