Box Score STEVENSON, Md. -- In its first match of the season, the Marymount men's tennis team eked out a narrow 5-4 win on the road at Stevenson on Tuesday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Dorian Guiot and Nicolas Stromberg teamed up to win the only doubles match of the day for the Saints at #1 doubles (8-6).
- Guiot (6-3, 6-1) and Stromberg (6-4, 6-3) also battled for straight set victories at #1 and #2 singles, respectively.
- In his college debut, Seb Dijkema picked up a strong win at #3 singles (6-1, 6-1).
- With the match in the balance, Nathaniel Tesfaye rallied in the third set to ice the victory for Marymount (6-4, 3-6, 10-5)
UP NEXT
- The Saints have a very busy week ahead to begin the fall season.
- Marymount will play at Hood tomorrow at 2 PM before hosting Shenandoah on Thursday at 4 PM at Oakton Swim & Racquet Club.
- The Saints will close out the week with a Pope's Cup matchup at Catholic on Sunday at 11:00 AM.
