WILKES, Pa. – Xavery Washington and Eric Washington both narrowly missed placing at the 89th Wilkes Open on Thursday as Marymount men's wrestling competed for the final time in 2022. 

NOTABLE

• Eric Washington finished 3-2 on Saturday and missed the placement round by one match.
• With three falls on the day, Washington now has 12 pins on the season to go along with an impressive 19-7 record.
• Xavery Washington also went 3-2 on the day, including a win over an NCAA Division I opponent (Makoa Niebel – Franklin & Marshall). He improved to 10-4 on the season.
• Marcus Lewis recorded a pin over A.J. Deutal of the Apprentice School.
