HARRISONBURG, Va. – For the first time in history, Marymount University competed in men's wrestling as the Saints crowned two champions at the JMU Club Wrestling Invitational on Sunday.  

NOTABLE

• Mateo Hernandez pinned his way through the tournament to take first place at 149 pounds.
• Xavery Washington had two major decisions and a fall to take first place at 174 pounds.
• Marcus Lewis (174 pounds) and Eric Washington (197 pounds) both picked up three pins and earned third-place finishes.
• Overall, Marymount finished third as a team with 94.5 points, just behind Virginia Tech Wrestling Club (117.5) and James Madison (104.5).
• Out of the eight wrestlers who competed for the Saints, seven brought home medals.
