FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- The Marymount University men's swim team continued the fall portion of its schedule on Friday evening against the University of Mary Washington and Southern Virginia University.
Trevor Cairns earned a pair of top-five finishes in the pool. He finished third in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:51.66 and earned a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:06.40.
Dylan Prophet joined Cairns with a top-five spot after he claimed fifth in the 100-yard butterfly. The sophomore clocked in with a time of 56.56.
MU added a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, as the team of Cairns, Prophet, Jaiden Lugo and Jake Wornom finished in 1:46.06.
The Saints return to the pool on Saturday, October 30, when they take on Atlantic East Conference foes St. Mary's College (Md.), Cabrini University, and Immaculata University. The meet is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start.
