ASHLAND, Va. – The Marymount University tennis team played its inaugural match on Friday afternoon, falling 7-2 against Randolph-Macon College.
The Saints picked up both of their wins in singles play, by freshmen Dorian Guiot and Brecht Chamuleau.
Guiot defeated Jake Ferner at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-3. Chamuleau played a No. 3 singles, picking up the victory over Erik Moulton, 6-4, 6-1.
The Saints will continue their first season of competition on Thursday, March 5 at Shenandoah University, set for 3:30 p.m.
