Men's Swimming Drops Dual Meet To Division I Howard

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Marymount University men's swimming team dove back into competition on Saturday afternoon for the first time in nearly two months, falling to Division I Howard University, 171-33.

The Saints had several top five finishes, led by seniors James Powers and Tedd Pham with third-place finishes and a second-place finish by junior Max Klemm.

Klemm grabbed the best finish of the day in the 100-yard backstroke, clocking a time of 1:00.55 for second place, just four seconds off a top finish. Coming in right behind Klemm was Powers, touching the wall for third place in 1:03.18.

Pham earned a third-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke, coming through for a time of 1:01.27, less than a second off of a silver finish. 

 

The Saints return to the pool next Saturday, January 25, rounding out Atlantic East Conference competition with Immaculata University for Senior Day in the Rose Bente Lee Center. Start time is set for 1 p.m.
