Men's Swimming Falls To Seahawks

ARLINGTON, Va. - The Marymount University men's swimming team fell short on Saturday afternoon at home against former Capital Athletic Conference foe St. Mary's College of Maryland, 108-88.

Senior Tedd Pham and junior Max Klemm led the Saints for the day, each scoring two first-place finishes. 

Klemm grabbed his first one in the 200-yard freestyle, topping a Seahawk by almost three seconds for a time of 1:55.24. Senior Scott Bockisch claimed third in the same race with a time of 2:04.82.

He earned his second victory in the 100 butterfly, capping a two-second win when he touched the wall at 55.27. Bockisch again finished third in the race with a time of 58.10, less than half a second out of second place. 

Pham registered his first win in the 200 individual mediley, cruising to a dominate eight-second victory with a time of 2:06.41. He followed it with a top finish in the 100 breaststroke, working to a time of 1:02.53, over four-seconds faster than the second-place finisher. 

Pham remains perfect for the season, going 6-for-6 in his individual races. 

The Saints will open Atlantic East competition on Saturday, November 2, traveling to Cabrini University for a 2 p.m., start.
