ARLINGTON, Va. – The Marymount University men's swimming team hosted Salisbury University at the Lee Center Pool on Saturday for its first action of 2019, falling 139-60.
Junior Tedd Pham and senior Isaiah Jones each tallied first-place finishes for the Saints.
Pham finished the 100-yard individual medley in 56.26 seconds, while Jones raced the 100-yard freestyle in 49.25 seconds.
Jones also placed second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.40 seconds.
Sophomore Max Klemm grabbed two second-place spots in the meet. He joined Pham in the 100 IM, finishing in a career-best 56.83 seconds, as the pair took the top-two spots in the race.
He also placed second in the 100-yard butterfly (54.73 seconds).
Junior Nicholas DiSanti tallied the fourth second-place finish for the team, racing the 200-yard freestyle in 1:56.93.
Joining Klemm in the 100 fly, senior Ian Griffith set a season-best time of 56.40 seconds to take third.
Taking the Saints' other third-place finish, junior James Powers finished the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:04.14.
The Saints took second in both relays, beginning the day with the 200-yard medley relay. Juniors Matthew Landivar and Scott Bockisch, sophomore Ryan Straka, and Powers finished in 1:53.74.
Jones, Pham, DiSanti, and Klemm closed the meet in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:32.44.
The Saints will jump back in Atlantic East Conference competition on Saturday, January 26 at Cabrini University; the meet is set for 1 p.m.
