FROSTBURG, Md. – The Marymount men's swim team came up short in its final meet of the regular season on Saturday afternoon at Frostburg State University, 113.5-90.5.
Eight different Saints combined for 13 top-three finishes for the day, as junior Isaiah Jones, freshman Max Klemm and junior Ian Griffith each collected a top finish.
Jones grabbed first in the 100-meter free (54.52) and added a second-place finish in the 50 free (24.49). Klemm tied for first in the 100 IM (1:04.32), while taking second in the 100 back (1:07.87). Griffith raced to first in the 100 fly (1:03.92).
A handful of other collected top-three finishes including sophomores Nicholas DiSanti and Scott Bockisch, seniors Shaka Kuykendall and Wes Wilson, and freshman Noel Lopez.
DiSanti took third in the 200 free (2:08.91) and second in the 400 free (4:41.50), while Bockisch came through behind Griffith in the 100 fly (1:06.21). Lopez followed behind for third in the 100 fly (1:07.90), and added a second-place finish in the 100 breast (1:12.92).
Kuykendall took third in the 50 free (26.04), and Wilson took third in both the 100 IM (1:07.80) and 100 breast (1:13.56).
The Saints will now take the next three weeks to recover and prepare for the CAC Championships at St. Mary's College of Maryland. Day one of the four-day event starts up on Thursday night, February 22.
