Washington, D.C. – Marymount University's men's and
women's swimming teams returned to action after the New Year,
falling to Washington & Lee and host Catholic in a double-dual
meet on Saturday afternoon.
Will Bryan led the Saints men's squad with a third place finish
in the 100 breastsroke while Tyler Hayes
and Robert
Klazynski both finished fourth overall in the 50 freestyle and
100 butterfly, respectively.
The trio also posted a fourth place finish in the 200 medley
relay along with Matt
Essig.
On the women's side, Kassidy Schmidt finished third in the
100 backstroke and the 200 backstroke while Katie Moran was second
in the 50 freestyle and third in the 200 IM. Jessica Hester
placed third in the 200 breastsroke while Casey Thomas was fourth
overall in both the 100 backstroke and the 100 freestyle.
Closing out the meet, Moran and Thomas teamed with Isabella
Blecha and Hanna DelSignore for a second place showing in the 400
freestyle relay.
Marymount returns to action on Saturday, January
25th, at Division I foe Howard in Washington, D.C.
